Continuing Education

The NPAA Annual Conference provides Alabama nurse practitioners with up-to-date clinical, legal, professional and pharmacologic continuing education, required for maintaining licensure in Alabama. In addition, NPAA offers Webinars, Webcasts, and other educational opportunities throughout the year. Members can also save 15% on Barkley certification review courses.

Leadership

NPAA executive board officers are dedicated to promoting the professionalism and practice of NPs in the state of Alabama. Serving on the executive board and steering committee can perfect professional skills, such as public speaking, networking and leadership experience. Serving the NPs of Alabama is a rewarding experience and provides an opportunity to share professional skills and to serve on a mission that they feel passionately about.

Legislative Activity

NPAA monitors legislative activity at the Alabama State Capitol. We work to protect and promote the practice and profession of Alabama nurse practitioners. NPAA works with Alabama’s regional NP groups to provide one voice for nurse practitioners in the state. NPAA and its members actively support legislation and candidates that desire to promote better access to quality health care, provided by advanced practice nurses.

NPAA offers the opportunity to network with other NP professionals via the NPAA website, the annual NPAA Conference, the monthly newsletter, and social media via the NPAA Facebook page, Twitter account, and LinkedIN.

Travel Grants
